HomeCircle Terms of Use

Last updated: 4 November 2026 · Applies to HomeCircle 1.3.0 and later

Thanks for using HomeCircle. These terms are the agreement between you and us about using the app. We've tried to keep them short and plain. You agree to these terms on the 18+ screen when you first set up HomeCircle, by confirming “I’m 18 or older and agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy”. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

HomeCircle is a free app made by Luke Endrody, a sole trader in Queensland, Australia (ABN 53 687 374 897) ("we", "us"). These terms sit alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how your information is handled.

Support, not medical care

HomeCircle offers support, not medical care. It isn't a medical, counselling or emergency service, and nothing in it is medical advice. If you or someone else is in danger, call 000. For 24/7 crisis support, call Lifeline on 13 11 14.

The short version

  • You must be 18 or over.
  • HomeCircle is support, not medical care. In an emergency, call 000.
  • We're independent and not connected to AA, NA, GA or PA.
  • Be respectful. No harassment, no selling or supplying substances, and no scams. At meetings you find through HomeCircle, please respect that group's own guidelines, and don't record or share what people say.
  • We may correct or remove meeting listings that are wrong, unsafe or unlawful.

1. 18+ only, and agreeing to these terms

Scope. These terms apply to the HomeCircle app and the website homecircle.au.

HomeCircle is for adults aged 18 and over. You agree to these terms on the 18+ screen when you first set up HomeCircle, by confirming “I’m 18 or older and agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy”.

2. Support, not medical care

Kai on the web gives rule-based support messages written into the site. It isn't medical, counselling or crisis advice, and it isn't a person. In an emergency call 000.

Meeting reminders (.ics files) are a convenience only. Meeting times and places can change or be listed incorrectly, so check with the group or the official listing. We aren't responsible for missed or changed meetings.

3. Not affiliated with any fellowship

HomeCircle is independent. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Gamblers Anonymous (GA) or Porn Addicts Anonymous (PA). Their names are used only to describe meetings and to link to their own websites, which have their own terms and policies. Meeting details come from public listings and can change, so check with the group if you're unsure.

4. Code of conduct

HomeCircle helps you find meetings and look after your recovery. When you use the app, and at meetings you find through HomeCircle, please:

5. Your information and Circle notes

6. Reporting a concern

To report a concern, such as a wrong or unsafe meeting listing, email support@homecircle.au from your own mail app.

We may correct or remove listings that are wrong, unsafe or unlawful. Where someone may be in danger or the law requires it, we may share relevant information with police or emergency services. If you think we've got something wrong, email us and we'll take another look.

You can stop using HomeCircle at any time. Use Delete data on this phone and then delete the app.

7. Using the app

8. Limits on our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or any other law that can't be excluded.

Subject to that:

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as HomeCircle changes. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date and app version at the top of this page, and let you know in the next app update. If you keep using HomeCircle after a change, the new terms apply. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it applies, and you can stop using HomeCircle and delete your data.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You and we agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland. This doesn't take away any rights you have under the laws of where you live.
